Biography

Quintin D. Taylor serves as the third Chancellor of River Parishes Community College (RPCC). Quintin was appointed Interim Chancellor, June 2022. After a nationwide search, he was selected as the Full-time Chancellor in December 2022. In his brief time as Chancellor, he has placed a greater emphasis on student access and success, business and industry relations, accountability, and legendary customer service. Chancellor Taylor has re-engaged with local industry and public school districts to rebuild trust and develop robust partnerships. He has placed an intense focus on better managing the college’s finances and exploring innovative opportunities to grow the college’s revenue, among other strategies that are positioning the college for greater stability and future growth.
 
Chancellor Taylor has spearheaded a transformative change management process that has resulted in a remarkable financial turnaround, including reducing the college’s operating deficit by 85%, doubling student enrollment and graduates, and achieving the college’s first profitable year in eight years.
 
A Miami, FL, native, Quintin has worked in various executive communications and legislative affairs roles for the Louisiana Community and Technical College System, the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and Memphis City Schools. He was also Owner and President of Taylor Made Public Relations and Sports Marketing, where he negotiated and managed endorsement deals, player community engagement, and philanthropic efforts.
 
Quintin earned his undergraduate degree in Mass Communications from Bethune-Cookman College, his master’s degree in public administration from LSU, and is pursuing a doctoral degree from Northwestern State University. Quintin and his wife have an 11-year-old son, and they reside in Gonzales, LA.
