Dan Gregory

Vice President of Finance & Administration, Concordia University Texas

Biography

Dan Gregory currently serves as the Vice President for Finance and Administration at Concordia University Texas. He has served Concordia Texas for the last 20 years, and his current responsibilities encompass all things non-academic and not directly student facing (though he would argue that all university work is student facing), including finance, HR, facilities, capital projects, legal, auxiliary revenue, IT, police, etc. Put succinctly, Dan “sets the stage” for individual and institutional success.

Dan earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Concordia. He also holds a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied learning space design, and a master’s degree in construction engineering management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He will complete his PhD in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University this year; where his research uses machine learning and AI to predict student retention using student and institutional financial factors.

Dan is a native Austinite, and he and his family enjoy time on their ranch where they raise bighorn sheep.
