Calvin Hart is the Vice President & General Manager of Nucor Steel Louisiana, located in Convent in St. James Parish. Calvin began his career with Nucor in 2002 in the Warehouse at Nucor Steel Hertford, North Carolina. At Nucor Hertford, Calvin held several positions of increasing responsibility in the Roll Mill before transferring to Nucor Steel Louisiana in 2012 as a Shift Supervisor. At Nucor Louisiana, Calvin was an instrumental part in safely building, commissioning, and starting up the largest DRI facility in the world. By meeting challenges head-on and fulfilling increasing responsibilities, including Day Supervisor, Calvin helped Nucor Louisiana build a strong, resilient, and world class team. In 2018, he was promoted to Operations Manager at Nucor Steel Louisiana, and in 2021, became General Manager. In 2022, Calvin Hart was named Vice President & General Manager of Nucor Steel Louisiana.
