Dr. Andy Jett serves as Interim President of Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri, bringing over 30 years of diverse experience in higher education administration and academic innovation. Dr. Jett’s career includes leadership roles such as Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer, inaugural Dean of the College of Professional Schools, and Associate Professor of Leadership at Avila University. His previous tenure at Baker University featured strategic planning, institutional research, and curriculum development across various administrative and faculty positions.

Dr. Jett holds a Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership and a Master’s in Religion and Philosophy from Baker University, complemented by degrees in organizational behavior and accounting. His scholarly work centers on the effective integration of technology in teaching and expanding educational access for adult and international students. He has overseen substantial growth in enrollment, program development, and international partnerships, and is committed to fostering inclusive, service-driven campus communities.

In addition to his university leadership, Dr. Jett has served on multiple nonprofit and professional boards dedicated to educational advancement and social equity. He is recognized for building resilient teams, driving institutional transformation, and championing student success in rapidly evolving landscapes.
