Carolyn Arida

Senior Managing Director, Harrison Street

Biography

Carolyn Arida brings 16 years of industry experience to Harrison Street and is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. As a Senior Managing Director, Head of Utilities, and Co-Portfolio Manager in the Transactions group, she spearheads Harrison Street’s power, energy, and utility efforts and is responsible for originating, underwriting, and executing new transactions for the firm’s infrastructure platform. She also supports development of investment strategies and leads efforts to develop joint venture relationships with operating partners. Carolyn has supported over $10 billion of total project costs throughout her career. Prior to joining Harrison Street, Carolyn served as Vice President at GE Energy Financial Services. During her time at GE, she led new product introductions and first-of-their-kind transactions, including the first US offshore wind financing and the first Japanese solar project financing. Prior to GE, Carolyn was a Senior Associate at Atlantic Power Corporation, responsible for commercial development. She started her career at GE Energy Financial Services, focused on executing new power and renewables transactions and restructuring thermal, midstream, and renewables investments.

Carolyn holds a BA in Economics, a BSBA in Finance, and an MBA from Boston University.
