Colt Little

Vice President for Construction, Facilities & Real Estate, University of Florida

Biography

Colt Little was appointed Vice President for Construction, Facilities & Real Estate at the University of Florida in June 2025. In this capacity, he provides executive leadership for the university’s Department of Planning, Design and Construction, Facilities Services, and the Office of Real Estate. These units are responsible for all aspects of capital projects and physical plant across the university’s campuses and numerous sites throughout the state, including campus planning; architectural design and engineering; new construction; renovations and remodels; facility operation and maintenance; utilities production and distribution; grounds maintenance and janitorial service; the acquisition, disposition, development, management, and leasing of real property; and public-private partnerships.

Previously serving as Senior Counsel to the university, Colt provided legal guidance to UF and its affiliated entities on matters involving real estate, construction, finance, and facilities. He also held the role of Associate Vice President for Enterprise Projects, acting as a project coordinator, advisor, and liaison for large, cross-divisional capital initiatives.

Colt holds a Bachelor of Arts in History, with honors, from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University. Before joining UF in 2014, he practiced real estate, construction, and public finance law at several Florida-based firms.
